Step 2: Create a New Family

To create a family

1. Navigate to the CI Family List.
2. Click Create New.

   The Create New Configuration Item Family page displays.

3. Enter a unique name for the new family. In this example, Automobile.
4. Verify that Record Status is set to Active.
5. Select the extension table name. In this example, zvehicle.
6. Click Save.

   The new CI family is created.
