Migrate Data between CA Service Catalog Systems

You can use the Import Export utility to migrate CA Service Catalog data between systems. You can export all objects to the target computer from an existing CA Service Catalog implementation. New and updated objects are received on the target computer.

You can use the utility to migrate new and updated objects from one CA Service Catalog computer to another. This migration is primarily intended for both of the following:

• Moving data from a test computer to a production computer, when both computers are running the same release of CA Service Catalog (same-version migration)
• Moving data from a computer running the previous release of CA Service Catalog to a computer running a newer release of CA Service Catalog (upgrading)
