Create a Cost Element

A Cost Element is a resource used to subdivide costs corresponding to the consumption of a particular service. It is the amount paid for a resource consumed by an activity and included in a cost pool.

To create a Cost Element

  1. Click Accounting, Budget and Planning, Cost Elements.

    The Cost Elements page appears.

  2. Click the Add Cost Element button.

    The Definition dialog for cost elements appears.

  3. Complete the fields for this cost element.
  4. Click the Update button.

You have created a cost element.
