Summary of Approval and Fulfillment Rules and Name Changes

This section contains a brief summary of the most commonly used approval and fulfillment rules. For a complete list of rules and complete descriptions of each rule, see the rules described in CA Workflow-Driven Approval and CA Workflow-Driven Fulfillment.

For readability, rule names were updated in CA Service Catalog r12. If have upgraded from CA Service Catalog r12, no rule names have changed. However, if you have upgraded from CA Service Catalog r11.2, the rule name changes in this topic apply.

Rules names now have spaces between words, and words like All and None are removed. Also, abbreviations in rule names are expanded to give the complete text, as follows: WF is now Workflow; HW is now Hardware; SW is now Software. Finally, the rules are expanded to a complete phrase describing the situation to which the rule applies, such as When Category is None and Status is Pending Fulfillment (formerly WFNoneFulfillment).

The following list provides both the new and old names, to help you more easily match the latest rules with your existing rules from earlier releases, if applicable.
