Install CA EEM

CA Embedded Entitlements Manager CA EEM authenticates users during login and authorizes users to access CA Service Catalog.

To install CA EEM

  1. Review the installation considerations.
  2. Start the setup.exe file on the CA Service Catalog installation media.

    The Product Explorer window of the installation program appears.

  3. Select Utilities, CA EEM, Windows, and click Install.

    The installation wizard guides you through the installation process.

  4. When prompted to set the value of the EiamAdmin password, enter the password that you want to use.

    Record this password for future reference.

  5. When prompted to enter the Java Home directory, leave the value empty and click Skip, unless you plan to do one or both of the following:

    If you plan to perform either of these tasks, enter the complete path name of your Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installation.

  6. Continue following the wizard instructions and complete the CA EEM installation.

    CA EEM is installed and you can install other CA products.

  7. If you uninstalled CA Anti-Virus or CA Threat Manager earlier, reinstall it.
