When you attempt to install or upgrade the first (formerly primary) Service View computer, the installation checks to see if the MDB must be updated or installed. If necessary, the MDB installation or upgrade is then started automatically.
If the MDB installation or upgrade is started, you are prompted during it to supply the required parameter values, such as the server name, logon credentials, and port numbers, for your DBMS. For complete details about the data that you may be prompted for, see the section that applies to your DBMS. If applicable, record the data and have it ready when you install the first Service View server.
