Reservation Manager (New Features and Enhancements)

In this release, the following new features or changes are available for Reservation Manager:

Enhanced Datastore Filtering Option

The Reservation Manager allows to filter the data stores when setting the resource pool. You can narrow the results by setting the necessary values to the following parameters:

• Name
• Capacity
• Available Space
• Tier

Static IP Selection

The Reservation Manager allows to select a specific static IP address or allows the system to automatrically select from a predefined network address pool.

Snapshot Retention Period

The Reservation Manager allows to configure to delete snapshots after a specified time period.

Datastore Threshold Configuration

The Reservation Manager allows to configuration the VM provisioning to a datastore for upto a percentage of value for available disk space.

Organize VM folders

The Reservation manager allows you to specify a folder variable %ORGUNIT% in resource pool to organize VM folder structure by organization unit.

Software Requirements

In this release, consider the following changes to the CA Server Automation software requirements:

• Added support for Cisco UCS 2.1
• Removed the integration support to the following components:
  1. VCE Vblock EMC UIM 3.0
  2. CA Network Automation
  3. CA Rapid Server Imaging (RSI)
