Storage VSC Create Datastore

Creates a datastore using NetApp Virtual Storage Console and https://netapp_host:port/kamino/public/api

NetApp VSC Server

Specifies the server name or IP address where Virtual Storage Console is installed.

Example: vschost123

VSC Port

Specifies the port number for Virtual Storage Console Service. Default is 8143

Example: 8143

Datastore Name

Specifies the Name for new Datastore.

Example: mydStore123

Datastore Type: Specify 'FCP, 'ISCSI', or 'NFS'.

Example: NFS

VMFS Block Size

Specifies the size of VMFS block in MB.

Example: 1

Datastore Size

Specifies the size of Datastore in MB.

Example: 2048

Target Object:

Specifies the vCenter Managed Object Reference to attach Datastore to.

Example: host-6680

Datastore Container Name:

For NFS, it is the aggregate. For VMFS, it is the volume name. When provisioning against DFM, it is a Storage Service.

Example: stgService123

Thin Provision (Opt.) :

If set to 'True' then no space is guaranteed for the storage object. Speficy ‘True’ Or ‘False’.

Example: False

Enable Auto Grow (Opt.)

If set to 'True' Auto Grow Increment and Auto Grow Maximum values are enabled on the volume. Specify ‘True’ or ‘False’.

Example: True

Autogrow Increment (Opt.)

Specifies the value in MB to grow the volume.

Example:

Autogrow Maximum (Opt.)

Specifies the maximum size in MB the volume will grow.

Example: 20480

NetAppController

Specifies the Hostname or IP address of NetApp Controller.

Example: 192.168.0.55

NetAppController Username

Specifies the Username for NetApp Controller. Does NOT need to be 'root'.

Example: user123

NetAppController Username’s Password

Specifies the Password of User on NetApp Controller

Example: password123

vFiler (Opt.)

Specifies the Vfiler Name.

Example: filer123

vCenter Host Name

Specifies the host name where vCenter is installed.

Example: vcenterhost123

vCenter Port

Specifies the port number for vCenter. Default is 443.

Example: 443

vCenter Username

Specifies the username to access vCenter.

Example: user444

vCenter Username’s Password

Specifies the password for vCenter username.

Example: password444
