Create Virtual Disks
Virtual disks are intended to store user-specific data and can be attached to virtual machines.
Follow these steps:
- Open the CA Server Automation user interface from the Start menu. Click Management, Resources.
The Explore tree opens.
- Expand the Huawei SingleCLOUD folder and right-click the appropriate Storage Cluster.
A pop-up menu opens.
- Select Management, Create Disk.
The Create Disk dialog opens.
- Specify the following parameters and click OK.
- Disk Name
- Disk Type (User Disk or Shared Disk). A User Disk can be attached to one virtual machine. A Shared Disk can be attached to multiple virtual machines.
- Dynamic Allocation (Ordinary or Thin Provisioning)
- Disk Size (GB)
- Description of the virtual disk
CA Server Automation creates the virtual disk. The virtual disk is listed in the Details tab of the Storage Cluster panel.
