When managing the SystemEDGE agent with CA Server Automation, the agent performs a warm start when you update its configuration through the CA Server Automation manager. The warm start lets the agent implement changes without requiring a full restart. By default, when an agent warm start occurs, the agent does not re-discover all devices, because this can take a long time if you are managing a system with many devices. However, you can enable this discovery to re-discover all devices after a warm start.
To enable warm start discovery, comment out the following line in the sysedge.cf file by adding a pound sign (#) character as follows:
# no_warmstart_discovery
