Configuration Using CA Server Automation

You can configure the SystemEDGE agent remotely using the CA Server Automation file-based configuration capabilities. From the CA Server Automation user interface, you can configure any parameter in the sysedge.cf file (including system settings, security settings, monitors, and AIMs) and deploy the configuration to one or many agent instances from one central location.

When you deploy configuration files through CA Server Automation, the agent can apply any changes during runtime, and only a warm start is required. Remote configuration through CA Server Automation is the recommended method for SystemEDGE configuration.

For more information about configuring the agent from the CA Server Automation user interface, see the CA Server Automation Administration Guide and Online Help. For more information about agent security lockdown options that you can implement with CA Server Automation, see the chapter "Concepts."
