NT System Group
The NT System group contains groups and tables that have been specifically designed for Windows systems.
Class: ntSystem
Note: In most cases, the SystemEDGE agent supports the same MIB objects for Windows and UNIX. However, the underlying Windows operating system does not support some of the System Management MIB objects. For a list of the MIB objects not supported on Windows, see the SystemEDGE Release Notes.
Use the MIB attributes in the NT System group to determine the following:
- Operating system version, build, and service pack number (ntSystemVersion, ntBuildNumber, ntServicePackNumber)
- System type (ntWorkstationOrServer)
- Short file name setting (ntfsDisable8dot3NameCreation)
- File access settings (ntWin31FileSystem)
- Deadlock timeout for critical sections (ntCriticalSectTimeout)
- Global hexadecimal flag setting (ntGlobalFlag)
- Number of bytes for I/O operations (ntIoPageLockLimit)
- System cache working set preference (ntLargeSystemCache)
- Paged pool and nonpaged pool size (ntPagedPoolSize, ntNonPagedPoolSize)
- List of paging files (ntPagingFiles)
- Number of system page table entries (ntSystemPages)
- Subsystems that are only loaded when starting a dependent application (ntOptionalSubsystem)
- Command line that runs when application is launched (ntCmdlineOptions)
- LPT port flush interval (ntLPTTimeout)
- VDM memory size (ntDosMemSize)
- Command line that runs when starting a 16-bit application (ntWowCmdline)
- Amount of memory for WOW session (ntWowSize)
- Full screen of windowed mode setting (ntUserFullScreen)
- Number of history buffer commands and history buffers (ntHistoryBufferSize, ntNumberHistoryBuffers)
- Quick edit mode setting (ntQuickEdit)
- Width and height of console screen buffer and window (ntScreenBufferSize, ntWindowSize)
