CA SYSVIEW no longer requires you to define an MVS subsystem entry as in releases of CA SYSVIEW before Release 13.5. Nor does it use or dynamically create an MVS subsystem entry.
A SYSVIEW subsystem ID now associates with each instance or installation of CA SYSVIEW. The subsystem ID is used to define or determine the system configuration parameters.
Use the following guidelines:
Default SYSVIEW subsystem ID: GSVX
Note: We recommend using the default of GSVX unless you use multiple instances of CA SYSVIEW on the same system.
GSVXMAIN program alias has been removed.
In previous releases, the program you executed for the server address spaces was specified as GSVXMAIN. GSVXMAIN was an alias to the program GSVXASCT. The alias GSVXMAIN is no longer defined.
The following SYSVIEW started task procedure specifies GSVXASCT as the program to execute:
SYSVIEW - Main Services Address Space SYSVUSER - User Interface Address Space SYSVAUX - Auxiliary Services Address Space SYSVIEW EXEC PGM=GSVXASCT
