Systems operations automation enables you to manage and maintain the availability of resources to the users of the information systems.

To use this product to manage your resources, you should review your systems operations requirements and then define those requirements to the knowledge base.

You use resource definitions to store information about the resources, and relationships to govern their startup and shutdown sequences. You can define services to include relevant resources to represent specific business functions, and manage the resources through those services.

The product provides AutoAssist features that help you define the different types of resources. The product divides the resource definitions into classes and provides templates for the different types of resources within each class.
