Enable the Logging of SPO and Unsolicited PPO Messages

By default, SPO and unsolicited PPO messages are not logged. If you want to log these messages, update the PPO parameter group.

Note: CA OPS/MVS can automate responses to messages in the system hardcopy log. If the region owns the PPO and you want this automation to occur for unsolicited PPO messages, write these messages to the system hardcopy log.

Follow these steps:

1. Enter the /PARMS panel shortcut.

   The parameter groups are listed.

2. Enter U next to the PPO parameter group.
3. Update the following fields as required:
   • Log Unsolicited PPO Messages?

     Note: If the region does not include CA NetMaster NA and you use CA OPS/MVS for automation, specify WTO.

   • Log SPO Messages?
4. Press F6 (Action).

   The region starts logging the selected types of messages.

5. Press F3 (File).

   You save the changes. The new settings apply when the region restarts.
