Apply SiteMinder Updates to a SOA Agent

After a SiteMinder Web Agent is converted for SOA Security Manager use as a SOA Agent, you can apply SOA Security Manager and supported SiteMinder Web Agent software updates. Before applying a SiteMinder software update to a SOA Security Manager Policy Server, review the SOA Security Manager r12.1 Platform Support Matrix to confirm that it has been tested for compatibility with SOA Security Manager.

To apply SiteMinder Web Agent software update to a SOA Agent

  1. Back up the SOA Agent executables.
  2. Back up the SOA Agent configuration file (SOA_HOME\webagent\config\conapi.conf).
  3. Install the latest supported Web Agent software update.
  4. Reinstall the SOA Agent using the SOA Security Manager r12.1 CR1 installer.
