Resize the Java Virtual Machine Memory Heap in a WebSphere/AIX Environment
To support large CA RCM configurations, you can expand the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) memory cache for CA RCM server.
To resize the Java Virtual Machine memory heap in a WebSphere/AIX Environment
- In the WebSphere administration console, click Servers, application servers and select a server in the CA RCM cluster.
- Click Process Definitions, Java Virtual Machine.
- Change the following fields to define JVM memory heap settings:
- Initial Heap

Defines the memory reserved for CA RCM upon startup, in megabytes.
- Maximum Heap
-
Defines the maximum memory that CA RCM can use, in megabytes.
- Repeat this procedure for each server in the CA RCM cluster.
