How to Resize the Memory Cache

When working with large CA RCM configurations, increase the size of the CA RCM server memory cache. This section describes how to resize CA RCM server cache memory.

There are two related memory configuration steps that you need to do:

• Resizing the initial and maximum heap memory of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to make best use of your physical memory resources.
• Resetting CA RCM memory cache limits.

As a rule, we recommend that you allocate approximately 1 GB of cache memory for every 500,000 entities in the active configuration.
