Data Connectors - LoginID Field Mapping

When you define a universe, you can specify the LoginID field - the field in user records that contains the login ID of the user. CA RCM uses this field to create a user account in the CA RCM portal for each new user, and to build the RACI hierarchy of the universe.

We recommend that you specify the LoginID field when you create a universe, before you use a data connector to populate the universe.

In this release, you can run a data connector before you specify the LoginID field of its target universe. In this case, the connector job skips tasks that use the LoginID field. Perform the following procedures after the connector job concludes to complete these skipped tasks.

Note: For detailed procedures about how to define a universe and create its RACI hierarchy, see the Portal User Guide.

Map the LoginID field

  1. Specify a LoginID field for the universe (from the portal main menu: Administration, Settings, Universe Settings).
  2. Create local user accounts on the CA RCM server for new users:
    1. In the portal main menu, click Administration, Permissions Configuration Settings, Update Permissions configuration with universe users.

The Update Permissions Configuration with Universe Users screen appears.

    2. In the Universe drop-down list, select the target universe, then click Select.

CA RCM creates accounts in its local permissions configuration for the new users in the universe.

  3. Generate the RACI hierarchy for the universe (from the portal main menu: Administration, RACI, Create RACI).
