Rebrand the Portal on AIX/WebSphere

To implement branding changes on a CA RCM server on AIX/WebSphere, create new .ear files containing the updated graphics files and text settings, and install them on WebSphere.

To rebrand the portal on AIX/WebSphere

  1. Prepare updated versions of the graphics and favicon files.
  2. On the WebSphere server, exit the WebSphere Application Server.
  3. From the system prompt, browse to the eurekify.war archive you used to install the CA RCM server. Using Winzip or another file compression tool, open the file for editing.
  4. Overwrite the old graphics files and favicon.ico file in the archive with the updated versions. Do not change the directory paths assigned to each file.
  5. Extract the EurekifyBaseWebApplication.properties file from the archive.
  6. Edit the file and replace the text strings in the following parameters:
  7. Add the updated properties file to the archive, overwriting the older version.
  8. Browse to the viewer.ear file you used to install the BIRT reporting utility.
  9. Using Winzip or another file compression tool, open the file for editing.
  10. Overwrite the old graphics files in the archive with the updated versions. Do not change the directory paths assigned to each file.
  11. In the WebSphere Application Server, uninstall the CA RCM server and BIRT reporting utility.
  12. Re-install the server and BIRT utility using the updated files. Select the existing CA RCM cluster during installation.
