Configure Agent Properties
You can set values for the following agent properties:
- How often the agent sends a heartbeat to the Domain Orchestrator.
- How often the agent checks the Domain Orchestrator for updates.
The agent sends a heartbeat at startup and on the configured schedule while the agent is active. The Domain Orchestrator acknowledges the heartbeat or domain updates, if available. The Domain Orchestrator sends mirrored updates to the agent at the specified mirroring intervals.
You can set agent properties in the Configuration Browser.
Follow these steps:
- Click the Configuration tab and expand Agents on the Configuration Browser palette.
- Select the agent to configure and click Lock.
- Select the Properties tab for the selected agent.
- (Optional) Review the following read-only properties:
- Status - Active or Inactive
- Agent Name - name configured as Display Name at installation.
- Host Name - name configured as Agent Host at installation.
- Host Address
- (Optional) Update the following properties:
- Mirroring Interval (Minutes)
- Heartbeat Interval (Minutes) - default value at Domain level is 2.
- Use Deprecated Communication
- Select the agent and click Unlock.
- Click Yes on the Unsaved Data dialog to save the changes.
