Modify Files on the PC

The following instructions explain how to change certain default settings in CA Plex to use the name of the CA Plex System i product library that you specified (Library-name in this example) instead of the default name (PLEX700).

To modify files on the PC

Open a text editor, such as WordPad.
Modify the following files on the PC to reflect the unique System i library names that you used for the new version:
Note: The following files are copied to your personal Documents folder (in the CA\Plex\7.0 sub-folder) when you first run CA Plex. If you have already run CA Plex, you may also want to update the copies in your personal Documents folder.
- C:\Program Files\CA\Plex\7.0\Plex.bld
  Under the section titled [remote configuration], change the line
```
jobdesclib=PLEX700
```
  to:
```
jobdesclib=library-name
```
- C:\Program Files\CA\Plex\7.0\Plex.INI
  Under the section titled [Remote], change the line:
```
Library=PLEX700
```
  to:
```
Library=library-name
```
- C:\Program Files\CA\Plex\7.0\Bin\Obsyrt.ini
  Under the section titled [Remote], change the line:
```
Library=PLEX700
```
  to:
```
Library=library-name
```
Using the same change for Obsyrt.ini, modify the following:
- \Bin\Ob600rc.INI
- \Bin\Ob600rcd.INI
