The Average Memory Utilization Trend view shows you a trend chart of average memory utilization levels for the selected group or server. If available, events are shown as flags to indicate the time events were reported.
By default, the Memory Utilization Trend view includes the following information:
Is the name of the server. If an administrator defined an alias for the device item, the alias is displayed. Otherwise, the discovered device name is displayed.
Is the average memory utilization value of the indicated device during the reporting interval.
The utilization statistic indicates the amount of memory capacity being used. The value is a percentage derived by dividing the used memory by the total physical memory on the device.
Projects the trend in future system memory utilization levels, based on the average memory utilization data (the average percentage of available memory in use within the requested reporting interval).
You can change several settings for a trend chart view. In addition to providing a new title, you can show or hide some of the trend lines and select another managed item context for the data. Trend views support the Zoom feature for time frame selection.
Follow these steps:
The view Settings dialog opens.
Note: Not all trend line options are available for all trend chart types.
The Resolution is the amount of time that each data point in the chart represents.
Goal lines serve as visual indicators of fixed metric values. For example, select a value within range of a critical threshold so that you can determine at a glance whether performance is approaching a degraded level.
Data from the new item will be shown in the view.
Note: The availability of these options depends on your user account role rights.
The view is refreshed to reflect your updates.
