The Generic Calendar Heat Chart view lets you build a custom view with similar functionality to the Calendar Heat Chart views. With the generic views, you can select the title, the threshold values for color zones, the metric that is included in the database query, and the group context.
The Generic Calendar Heat Chart view only works with a CA Infrastructure Management Data Aggregator data source.
Follow these steps:
The Settings dialog opens.
Appears in the title bar of the view.
Appears just underneath the title.
Default: The type of managed item whose data is displayed in the view.
Defines the set of values to collect and report on for a given technology. Determines the values to collect for the devices that are associated with that monitoring profile.
Lets you select the weekday on which to base the business week pattern-matching algorithm. The pattern is adjusted to count four days after the day you select.
Sets the type of metric value to use.
Note: By default, filtering is enabled to display only metrics that are consistent with the default roll-up strategy. To select metrics that do not conform, clear the Metric Filtering check box. When the selected metrics do not conform, the dialog displays an informational message in the header.
Lets you select the time format for the chart, either 12 hours or 24 hours.
Lets you change the starting value of each heat zone. The defaults are based on IT industry standards for performance.
Units are specific to the current metric; for example, the default Red Zone Start value for CPU utilization is 70 %.
Default: Monday.
The view refreshes to reflect your updates.
