MultiView QoS - Discarded Packets

The MultiView QoS - Discarded Packets view lets you gain a sense of interface performance for traffic that uses class-based quality of service policies. For example, such policies typically apply to VoIP and video conferencing applications.

This view displays charts for multiple class maps that show the average discarded packets per class of traffic per interface. Comparing the information in these charts can help you to compare the performance differences between various class maps that are applied to an interface. The view displays higher priority class maps first. The following data (in order of importance) determines the order of charts in the view:

  1. Queuing priority
  2. Bandwidth
  3. Discarded packets

For example, a view can represent one interface with the following three class maps:
