Errors In Trend

The Errors In Trend view displays a trend chart of the average inbound error rate for the selected interface over the selected time period. The rate is a number of inbound packets per second that had errors.

Note: Projections do not apply to error metrics. Errors are a function of the hardware, either the physical line or the interfaces. The permissible error count on a physical interface is exactly 0 (zero).

By default, the Errors In Trend view includes the following information:

Router

Identifies the device that is associated with the selected interface. If an administrator defined an alias for the device item, the alias is displayed. Otherwise, the discovered device name is displayed.

Interface

Is the name of the interface.

Total Errors In

Is the total number of errored packets for inbound traffic on the interface during the reporting period.

Resolution

Is the amount of time that each data point in the chart represents.
