Top Disk Utilization

The Top Disk Utilization view shows the average disk utilization levels for the selected server. The chart indicates the disk utilization percentage for each volume on the selected device over the selected time period.

This view is useful to help you track disk usage levels on critical servers. Disk utilization is a helpful way to analyze storage space on a server. But it is only one factor among many that affect server performance. For example, the server also needs high-performing CPUs, adequate memory, and disk drives with adequate speed.

By default, the Top Disk Utilization view includes the following information:

Server

Is the name of the server. If an administrator defined an alias for the device item, the alias is displayed. Otherwise, the discovered device name is displayed.

Name

Identifies the disk partition whose utilization is reported.

Description

Identifies the drive and label and may include other vendor-specific information, such as serial number.

Average Used

Is the average total amount of storage currently used, in bytes.

Average Capacity

Is the average value reported for the disk storage size in bytes.

Average Used

Is the average total amount of storage currently used, in bytes.
