Top Deviations from Normal - IP SLA

The Top Deviations from Normal views compare actual values from the selected time frame to a calculated "normal" value and display those values that deviated the most from that normal value.

What is considered to be "normal" is based on the calculated baseline average. The way the baseline is calculated varies by the registered data source. Use these views to quickly identify places where performance has changed.

IP SLA operations enable you to measure network performance by simulating network data and services on many Cisco devices. Some CA data sources can collect and report on data from Cisco IP SLA operations.

The Top Deviations from Normal - IP SLA view provides the following information for the selected device:

Metric

Is an operation type for an IP Service Level Agreement test. Select one of the following, or select All to view all metrics. Metrics are shown for the reporting group with the highest deviation from the normal value.

Device

Identifies the device whose data is reflected in the view. If an administrator defined an alias for the device item, the alias is displayed. Otherwise, the discovered device name is displayed.

Name

Is the name of the component that was the target of IP SLA testing.

Average [Metric]

Is the average value of the metric for the selected time period.

Average Baseline [Metric]

Is the calculated average baseline value. "Normal" is based on the calculated baseline average.

Percent Deviation

Is the value of the metric calculated as a percentage above or below the normal value.
