The CPU Utilization view shows you a gauge-style chart of average CPU utilization values from the indicated device.
Note: The inner band on the gauge is color-coded to indicate the severity.
You can edit the view to change severity ratings. You can select minimum and maximum values for each severity category:
Indicates that metrics fall into the 'Critical' category.
Indicates that metrics fall into the 'Moderate' or 'moderately degraded' category for minor impairments.
Indicates that metrics fall into a 'normal' range.
By default, the CPU Utilization view includes the following information:
Identifies the device whose data is reflected in the view. If an administrator defined an alias for the device item, the alias is displayed. Otherwise, the discovered device name is displayed.
Is the average level of CPU usage on the indicated device, as a percentage of all available CPU time in the reporting interval.
You can change several settings for a gauge-style view on a dashboard. In addition to providing a new title, you can select another managed item context for the data.
Follow these steps:
The view Settings dialog opens.
Data from the new item will be shown in the view.
Note: The availability of these options depends on your user account role rights.
The view is refreshed to reflect your updates.
