CA PMO manages SMS-managed data sets to make sure response time objectives are met. Based on the storage class assigned to a data set by SMS at I/O time, CA PMO assigns a storage class to each data set as it places it in the candidate list. As it determines which of these libraries to manage, it biases those data sets assigned to the must-cache storage class, and places them into processor storage as soon as possible.
The PMOMON D6 display shows the number of candidate libraries that are in the must-cache storage class. The D8 display shows what storage class SMS assigns to each managed private library.
