The Purpose of Offline Reports

Offline reports provide detailed information on directory searches of the private libraries that CA PMO manages. Each report concerns a particular private library.

The SYSOUT parameter allows you to have your offline reports automatically spooled on a printer under the CA PMO started task name. To instruct CA PMO to write offline reports to a particular data set, by specify the parameter SYSOUT=DS and supply a data set name as a value for the RPTDSN parameter.

Offline reports are similar to the PMOMON D8 display, but the two differ in a few respects:

Offline reports show the number of directory searches to a library; the D8 display shows percentages for these searches.

Offline reports give reasons for I/O library directory searches; the D8 display does not.
