How to Create Target Settings

To select the target settings for your configuration, use the Target Settings panel.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Chargeback Parameters options by expanding the tree.
  2. Find the database product that is used to manage the chargeback environment.
    DB2
    1. Name the DB2 subsystem.
    2. (Optional) Enter the PLAN name.
    3. Using European formatting, set the Euro DB2 option to YES.

      Note: For existing customers, these values are set in your existing CAIKSPAR file.

    CA Datacom
    1. Enter the database owner ID.

      Note: This value is set in your existing CAIKSPAR file.

  3. Verify the database name.

    Default: PMA490

    DB2

    The database name can be changed to any valid name.

    Recommended: Use the default.

    CA Datacom

    Required: Default is used.

  4. Specify the database.
  5. Specify the chargeback parameters.

    For existing customers, the name in parentheses indicates which value is in either the CAIKSPAR or CAIKRPAR parameter files. For new customers, fill in the value that matches the description.

    Customer Name

    The name of your company or what you would like to see in the report headers (CAIKSPAR, CUST).

    Base Version

    The base version for chargeback (CAIKRPAR, BASE).

    CBLOAD

    The version name where chargeback data is loaded (CAIKRPAR, CBLOAD).

    Charge Precision

    The number of decimal places to use when calculating and saving charge information (CAIKSPAR, CHARGE).

    Rate Precision

    The number of decimal places to use when saving rate information (CAIKSPAR, RATE).

    Unit Precision

    The number of decimal places to use when saving unit quantity information (CAIKSPAR, UNIT).

    Reconciliation

    Whether or not a Reconciliation file is produced (CAIKRPAR, RECON).

  6. Select names for the CAIKSPAR and CAIKRPAR members in the CAJROPTN data set.

    Recommended: The member names should be changed, if they are not the default values are overwritten in place in the Options (CAJROPTN) data set.

  7. Name the CAIKSPAR and CAIKRPAR members.

    Recommended: The member names are changed, because the default values are overwritten in place in the Options (CAJROPTN) data set.

  8. Specify the JCL for the configuration steps.

    Default: SYSOUT class is an asterisk, meaning this default started task output class.

    Recommended: If the default output class is not a held class, change it to a held output class.

  9. Specify the database settings.
    1. Select the database Owner for DB2 and CA Datacom.
    2. Select if configuring JARS/OLF (default).
    3. For DB2, indicate the DB2 load library that is used for your DB2 subsystem.
    4. For CA Datacom, enter the CA Datacom dataset names for various files that CA Datacom uses. Provide the names of the CA Datacom load library, the CA Datacom CUSLIB, the CA Datacom IPC library, and the CA Datacom. Consult with your CA Datacom administrator for the correct names.
  10. Specify the IXX and Data files.

    The IXX and Data files are created with a new installation. Specify the data set names allocation units, the volume serials, and the number of blocks.

    Recommended: The number of blocks remain unchanged.

  11. Specify the CA Common Services Load Library and Macro Library.

    Suffix names for these libraries are CCCSLOAD and CCCSMAC respectively. Specify the name of a temporary PDS that is used during the configuration process, as well as the unit where it is allocated. This PDS only uses two cylinders on a 3390 and is deleted upon completion of configuration.

  12. Specify the IRD/ORD Definitions.
    1. IRD and ORD entries can be added or updated as part of configuration by selecting or excluding these items.

      Default: All the shipped entries are the actions included.

      Note: Only change entries that are to be excluded.

      Important! Entries that are excluded are removed from an existing database, be careful when excluding a set of IRD and ORD entries.

    2. Click Next.
    3. Click Next. No changes are needed on the Edit Resources panel.
