A Repository object is a definition that is used by CA OM Web Viewer to reference (connect to) a mainframe (CA View, CA Dispatch or CA Bundl) repository.
A number of properties are controlled at the repository level. These properties allow you to control the abilities of all the users who have access to this Repository object. For example, you might initially want only certain Roles to have access to particular Repository objects.
Note: For more information, see Editing Repository Objects and Assigning Repositories to a Role.
Repository objects work this way:
For example, you might want to have two or more Repository objects that point to the same View repository so that different independent groups of properties can be applied. You could therefore have two Repository objects that both point to the same mainframe repository and have one Repository object that allows file upload, and one Repository object repository that does not allow file upload.
See the topics Editing Repository Objects and Granting File Upload Permission to Users.
