The objects needed to set up and manage CA OM Web Viewer are available from the Administration tab on one of the six subtabs shown on the GUI at the top of the left pane. They are:
A Repository object is a definition that is used by CA OM Web Viewer to reference (connect to) a mainframe repository (CA View, CA Dispatch or CA Bundl).
Many of the properties set at the repository level allow you to limit (control) the access of the users who will view and use the reports and data in the repositories.
A Role object is a definition of permissions. You can use a role to group users together to make the assignment of privileges less labor intensive. Roles are used to specify permissions for:
A Profile object is a definition that is used to allow multiple LDAP users to log onto CA View or CA Bundl using a single administrator-defined set of mainframe credentials.
A User object supplies basic user information including the Roles that were selected for this user.
A Directory object provides the LDAP information needed to validate a group of users with your current LDAP system.
This tab includes General and Display preferences, output defaults, auditing settings and statistics
Note: Group Administrators have access only to the Role, Profile, and User options and System Administrators have access to all the admin options.
