DRAS Load Balancing

CA Output Management Web Viewer v12 introduces the concept of automatic DRAS load balancing. You can set up as many DRAS servers as you need for the size of your user base, and CA OM Web Viewer will load balance the users among the available DRAS servers.

To setup up DRAS load balancing in Web Viewer, select one or more alternate locations for a repository. These locations should be defined so that they use different DRAS servers.

CA OM Web Viewer automatically distributes users among all the locations listed in the Repository object.

Notes:

• To correctly use DRAS load balancing, all the locations selected in one Repository object should all point to the same base View, Dispatch, or Bundl system.
• You might use a different ENF or DRAS address, but the base repository should not be different.
• The Available Locations displayed in the Alternate Location(s) section only include likely choices for alternate locations.
• Verify that the alternate locations actually point to the same repository.
