Move Login Validation

The login validation server uses the local operating system to validate user requests. The validation daemon starts on the primary server by default, but you can move it to a secondary server where all users have operating system accounts, or to a server that has a different operating system type.

To move login validation

  1. From the pdm_edit.pl top menu select U, and press Enter.

    The User Validation server submenu appears.

  2. Enter E to specify the hostname of the server, and press Enter.
  3. Enter primary for the primary server or the hostname of the Secondary server, and press Enter.

    The login validation is moved.
