Add a TNG Converter

The pdm_edit.pl utility lets you add a single TNG converter to any one of the servers in your system.

Note: If the Daemon Manager manages the TNG converter; this daemon is started and stopped with the other daemons. If the TNG converter is required to catch events after the CA SDM daemons are shut down, the TNG converter cannot satisfy this requirement, so start and stop the TNG converter as a service.

To add a TNG converter

1. From the pdm_edit.pl top menu select T, and press Enter.

   The TNG converter submenu appears.

2. From the TNG converter submenu select A, and press Enter.

   A prompt requests a hostname.

3. Enter primary for the primary server or the hostname of a secondary server, and press Enter.

   A prompt requests an IP address.

4. Enter HOST_IP_REPLACE if the TNG converter is on the primary server; otherwise, enter the IP of the secondary server.

   The TNG converter is added to the server.
