Create a Menu Bar Record

You can create customized menu bars to control the access to system functionality for the user-defined roles.

To create a menu bar

  1. From the Administration tab, navigate to Security and Role Management, Role Management, Menu Bars.

    The Menu Bar List page displays.

  2. Click Create New.

    The Create New Menu Bar page displays.

  3. Complete the following fields:
    Menu Bar Name

    (Required) Specifies the name that identifies the menu bar. You can use this field to help identify the functionality available from the menu bar.

    Code

    (Required) Specifies the code that identifies this menu bar to the product. After the code is defined, it cannot be changed.

    Record Status

    Indicates whether the menu bar is Active or Inactive.

    HTMPL Name

    Specifies the name of the HTMPL form that contains the menu bar definition. The menu bar is designed using the Web Screen Painter.

    Description

    Describes the menu bar. Use this description to further identify this menu bar and the roles that use it.

    Click Save.

    The menu bar definition is saved and the Menu Bar Detail page appears.
