Use External Subroutines

When enabling a rule, any referenced external subroutines called in AOF rules are compiled and placed in memory with the rule itself.

To use external subroutines

1. Change an external subroutine
2. Disable and re-enable the calling rule.
   • The change takes effect.
   • The AOF searches for external subroutine references in this order:
     1. The current rule set or the data set containing the rule
     2. The SYSEXEC concatenation of the OPSMAIN started task
