Edit Details for a Router, Interface, or CVI

Edit the properties of a router, interface, or CVI to make corrections or to supply missing information.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Active Interfaces page:
    1. Select Administration from the NFA console menu.

      The Administration page opens.

    2. Select Interfaces: Physical & Virtual from the Administration menu.

The Active Interfaces page opens, which lists the current routers and their active interfaces.

  2. Locate the routers, interfaces, or CVIs that interest you. To display the interfaces or CVIs under a router, click the arrow next to the router name.
  3. Select the check box next to the items you want to edit. You can edit multiple interfaces and CVIs at the same time or edit multiple routers at the same time. You cannot edit a mix of routers, interfaces, and CVIs at the same time, however.
  4. Click Edit.

The dialog box opens for editing the selected item or items.

  5. Modify the details as needed:

The tenant-domain setting for interfaces and CVIs does not have to match the setting for the parent router. Changing the domain can affect which operators and reports have access to the related data.

Changing the tenant of a router in CA Performance Center can affect which SNMP profiles are available for polling the router's interfaces. This is not true for CA NetQoS Performance Center, which uses the same list of SNMP profiles for all routers.

  6. Click Save.

The Edit Router or Edit Interface dialog closes. The changes are shown on the Active Interfaces page.
