Back Up the Databases Automatically
You can back up CA Network Flow Analysis databases manually, as described in the following topics, or back up the databases automatically. To back up databases automatically, add the appropriate directories to your regular backup routine:
- Enterprise Overview data and NFA console configuration data: <NFA_install_path>\MySql51\data\reporter (NFA console server).
- Historical (15-Minute) Data: <NFA_install_path>\Netflow\datafiles\ReaperArchive15 (Harvester server).
- High-Resolution (1-Minute) Data: <NFA_install_path>\Netflow\datafiles\ReaperArchive (Harvester server).
- Harvester Configuration Data: <NFA_install_path>\mysql51\data\harvester (Harvester server).
- Poller Data: <NFA_install_path>\mysql51\data\poller (Harvester server).
Note: Before you back up large databases, decide how much of the databases you want to back up. You probably will not want to back up the raw flow data (.nsa files) or back up the entire datafiles directory.
