Restore the Main Databases
You can restore data from a backup of a CA Network Flow Analysis database. The steps in this topic are for restoring data on a Windows server, but the database path is the same for a Linux server.
Follow these steps:
- Stop the Custom Storage service and its dependent services:
- Right-click the NetQoS Mysql51 service in the Service window and click Stop.
A confirmation message opens, which identifies the dependent services that will also stop.
- Click Yes.
- The confirmation message closes and the services stop.
- Restore the database directory from its backup location:
- Console Data: To restore NFA console configuration data and Enterprise Overview data, restore the backup copy to the following directory on the standalone server or the NFA console server: <NFA_install_path>\MySql51\data\reporter.
- Historical (15-Minute) Data: To restore 15-minute data, restore the backup copy to the following directory on the standalone server or the Harvester server: <NFA_install_path>\Netflow\data\archive15.

Note: To restore poller data, see Restore the Poller Database.

- Right-click the NetQoS Mysql51 service in the Services window and click Restart.
The Restart Other Services confirmation message opens and lists all the dependent CA Network Flow Analysis services that will also restart.
- Click Yes.
