Define UNIX Authorization for Your Started Task User IDs

The product region requires access to sockets interfaces and therefore requires UNIX System Services authorization provided by an OMVS segment security definition.

For the Packet Analyzer and UNIX functions, the SOLVE SSI region requires UNIX System Services authorization. An OMVS segment security definition provides this authorization.

Set the UNIX System Services authorization for the following user IDs:

• The started task user ID of the product region
• The started task user ID of SOLVE SSI
