How Customizing Tivoli NetView Works

This product is designed to add value to your existing Tivoli NetView product. The two products can exist on the same system.

Use this procedure if you are running Tivoli NetView on the same system and you want to continue to receive PPO messages and unsolicited CNM alerts in Tivoli NetView.

To customize Tivoli NetView, perform the procedures described in the sections that follow.

For CNM data flow, there must be a copy of CA NetMaster NM for SNA licensed in the same region as this product. Without CNM alerts, SNA resources can still be properly managed, but a subset of the error and performance conditions will not be detected.
