$CACALL Functions

$CACALL gives you access to the following functions:

BUILD CRITERIA

Builds and returns the specified criteria.

BUILD FKA

Builds the specified function key area.

BUILD IDTEXT

Builds lines of text containing details of the specified user ID together with the current date and time.

BUILD MESSAGE

Builds a message from the specified parameters.

DISPLAY DATA

Displays text in browse mode.

DISPLAY HELP

Displays the help text applicable to the user’s current context.

DISPLAY LIST

Builds and displays a list from the specified list definition.

DISPLAY MENU

Builds and displays a menu from the specified menu definition.

DISPLAY MESSAGE

Displays the specified message.

EDIT DATA

Displays text in edit mode and returns the edited text to the caller.

EXECUTE COMMAND

Executes the specified command.

GET TENTRY

Retrieves one or all entries from a table.

LOAD COMMAND

Loads the command table.

LOAD TABLE

Loads the specified table.

LOAD PDOMAIN

Loads the specified panel domain.

NAVIGATE PDOMAIN

Determines the next panel to be displayed.

VALIDATE DATA

Validates data according to the specified parameters.
