Add Transmission Definition

To add a transmission definition

1. Enter /FTSTD at the command prompt.

   The FTS : Transmission Definition Menu appears.

2. Select option A.

   The FTS : Transmission Definition "FromFile" Details panel appears.

3. Complete the following fields:

   Definition Name

   Defines a name for the definition.

   Limits: One through twelve characters

   Destination

   Defines the INMC link name of the remote region to which the data set is transmitted.

   Data Set Name

   (Optional) Specifies the name of the data set on this system to transmit.

   DD Name

   (Optional) Specifies the ddname of a data set that has been allocated.

   Note: You must enter a Data Set Name or DD Name.

4. (Optional) Press F8 (Forward).

   The FTS : Transmission Definition "ToFile" Details panel appears.

   Review the settings, and update as required.

5. Press F3 (Exit).

   The definition is saved.

Note: Only authorized users can access the Transmission Definition function. Such users can modify either private definitions or system definitions.
