How You Add Message Rules

Message rules are added in the same way as other EventView rule set members. You apply the M (Message List) action to the EventView rule set with which you want to associate the new message rule.

Important! Message Text is a mandatory field. If you enter the wildcard character in this field, all messages are tested against this rule, which can degrade performance.
