We recommend setting the DB2 EXPLAIN parameters DB2EXPL and DB2HEXPL to NO.

DB2 EXPLAIN provides information about the access path selection chosen by DB2 to retrieve application data. The collection of this information can cause additional overhead when measuring applications.
