Identify a Class of Devices

You can identify a class of devices for CA MIA management by specifying MIMINIT DEVCLASS=value.

To identify a class of devices

Specify the following command:

MIMINIT DEVCLASS=value

value can be one of the following:
TAPE: This places all tape devices under CA MIA management.
NONE: Indicates that you are not placing a class of devices under CA MIA management using the MIMINIT statement. This is the default.

Example: Identify device class

To place all tape devices under CA MIA management, specify the following statement in the initialization member:

MIMINIT DEVCLASS=TAPE
