5.2.2.5.3 IVTPTU Usage Considerations

This section identifies any special considerations or
techniques related to using the IVTPTU file.

The overall physical tape drive statistics for distributed
VTSs (standalone, UI, and secondary) are contained in the VTS
Distributed Library Activity (IVTVDL) file.

The IVTPTU file contains a further breakdown of physical tape
usage by Physical Tape Drive Type (IVTDCI).  This file is
only created for VTSs that are operating at the IBM function
code F/C 4001 level.
